Activities
In consultation with SHE Management, develop the SHE policy and philosophy for the project in accordance with established policies and procedures
Evaluate risks at the appropriate level and take considered and measured risks only
To monitor the application of the policy and philosophy.
To set SHE KPIs for the project
To ensure that adequate resources are available to carry out necessary SHE activities on the project.
To ensure that SHE performance of the project team, Contractors and Vendors is monitored and reported and that appropriate intervention is made in response to performance that does not meet requirements.
To ensure that SHE notification to the authorities and stakeholders are completed and submitted in due time.
To assist the Project Director with the management of partners and stakeholders SHE issues, including input to preparation of meetings and presentation.
Personal SHE responsibilities:
Support and enforce the SHE Project objectives and directives
Support and implement the Project SHE management system (plans, procedures and specifications)
Attend SHE meetings and training when required
To provide advice and recommendations to the Project management, personnel and sub-contracted entities
To revise and update the Project SHE plan
To review SHE aspects of tender documentation and contractor selection
Initiation and co-ordination of Project HSE tools including SHE plans / studies / management systems, etc
Liaison with the Affiliate HSE Manager and Corporate SHE functions
To audit and review project activities with regard to SHE issues
To ensure that SHE activities in support of the Development meet the standards required by regulatory authorities
To provide leadership in the project on SHE matters
To assist all members of the project team to discharge their responsibilities for SHE
To co-ordinate the activities of the Project SHE Engineer
