Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK for this role. This is based in Aberdeen and Singapore.
Main Purpose
To provide support, assistance and advise to the business, subsea projects and associated activities on risk
management, safety, health and environmental matters. Reporting on all matters to the Risk and Safety Manager.
Main Duties
Carry out duties in accordance with Business Management System process requirements
Compile and facilitate / chair project Risk Assessment activities
Monitor and review project risks throughout the life of project
Monthly Health, Safety and Environmental performance analysis and reporting in line with project, department,
company and Client requirements
Development and implementation of Project Audit Plan
Develop, implement (as necessary) and verify completion of SHEQ plan activities
Timely preparation of project SHEQ documentation
Liaise with and monitor subcontractors / suppliers
Work in conjunction with the Assurance Team to provide support and assistance as necessary on company
and project QA and QC matters
Monitor project documentation control
Liaise with offshore departmental representatives to develop and implement improvement plans in line with
project, departmental and company objectives
Daily communications with offshore departmental representatives throughout project planning and execution
In liaison with offshore departmental representatives, attend all project vessel mobilisation / demobilisations to
monitor and observe project activities, provide SHEQ feedback to project and marine teams, implement audit
and improvement plans
Delivery of statutory Health & Safety training to the company
Liaise with offshore departmental representatives, offshore personnel and subcontractors to investigate all
undesired events and monitor corrective and / or preventative actions are appropriately addressed and closed
out
Feedback to vessels / assets /company on Health, Safety and Environment Risk & Safety matters, and sharing
of lessons learned and best practice
Champion for and where necessary provide instruction and information
Promote the safety initiative programme (and any other that might be implemented) and
assist to embed into daily operations and activities
Member of the Emergency Response Team and where necessary prepare and conduct emergency response
exercises
Ensure an up to date knowledge and understanding of the requirements of legislative, marine and IMCA
standards and requirements
Communicate and embed the Core values into daily operations and activities.
Assist in tender submission documentation
When necessary, provide offshore cover for offshore departmental representatives
Develop Occupational Health and Safety Programmes in line with legislative requirements and industry best
practice.
Provide SHEQ support and represent the department in international locations as required by projects or the
satellite offices
Support the function as deemed necessary
Experience and skill level
A relevant HSE qualification to NEBOSH certificate level and be working towards diploma level or equivalent.
Internal Auditor Training
At least two years experience of providing SHEQ advice in a dynamic project / company environment.
Knowledge of Quality Management systems i.e. ISO 9001
Knowledge of offshore and / or marine operations
Knowledge of offshore diving operations
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work using own initiative or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring
project requirements are met.
Adaptability and problem solving capability
Salary Range -£35-48k
Discretionary Bonus - 15%
There is an offshore rate of £240 per day on top of salary.
Each day onshore or offshore counts towards one day of the 180.
Following the 180 day an onshore day rate will apply based on salary (salary / 180 = day rate) and offshore will be the day rate plus £240.
