Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with Commercial and Technical Management to produce Technical Design Brief
Assist with Project Schedule and Budgetary Planning
Implementation of technology and hardware assessment / test plan
Assessment of Legislative and Industry defined safety, environmental and electrical compliance requirements
Development of product to satisfaction of Technical Design Brief and agreed level of compliance
Documentation of product to facilitate production, support and quality control:
Drawings and Bill of Materials
Production and Test Procedures
Product Manuals
Compliance Certification
Support and Continued Development of Product
Supplier Assessment and Obsolescence Risk Mitigation
Accountabilities:
Reporting as required by Technical Manager
Maintenance of Development Project Schedule
Regular Development Progress Review with Management
Maintain records of all functionality and compliance testing
Education / Qualifications:
Degree level qualification in one or more of the following
Electrical / Electronic Engineering
IT / Computer Science
Experience:
Previous electrical product development experience
Good CAD Skills
Experience in the development of equipment for a Marine / Offshore environment
Microsoft Project or equivalent
Knowledge of Digital Video systems
Knowledge of subsea to surface data communication
