Utilise company software programs to plan system installations
Interface with Engineering/Manufacturing on technology transfer issues, product line updates and technical bulletins. Manage the internal Design Change Request and request for New Equipment processes through interfacing (via Engineering) with the support service planning group ensuring that new equipment drawings required for use are made
available within an agreed timescale.
Complete Training Plans in a timely manner. Undertake any training deemed necessary to fulfil Customer requirements. Undertake any required training to a satisfactory level of achievement, and complete a periodic examination to assess the knowledge gained from the completion of the training plans.Demonstrate, through assessment and internal interactions, full understanding of
equipment, systems and functionality, hydraulics and down-hole calculations and make
themselves aware of the job reporting process through the Training Plans and, if
necessary, further interaction with Well-Systems Engineers/Offshore Supervision.
When required Liaise with and supervise the on-site rig crew, to ensure correct equipment
handling during installation. Supervise own crew where applicable.
When required go to the Rig Site and Install equipment using proven and established
working practises within the remit of Quality and Safety Management Systems.
Maintaining and updating dedicated Engineering and product line resources i.e., PDM and
updates, within the liner group. Providing training in Engineering resources
as above to support internal needs.
Update system running procedures when lessons learned dictate change is required
Provide technical sales support for UK sales and operations including equipment
recommendation/selection and technical presentations to customers. Provide technical
assistance for in-house training matters related to the product line equipment.
Link with third party vendors for information and technical-advice related matters essential
to the correct working practices of the group e.g., thread company’s specifications, drilling
equipment.
Liaise with Account Managers to ensure that technical job requirements are captured and
provide support through software-orientated aids e.g., torque & drag simulations.
Assist in reviewing internal Statement of Requirement (SOR) processes to ensure that
proposed systems/equipment are fit for purpose and that technical information is collated and supplied i.e., torque values
Responsibility for addressing, resolving and managing all internally/externally raised PJR’s
(Problem Job Reports), IAR (Incident Analysis Reports), NCR’s (Non-Conformance Reports) and CC’s (Customer Complaints) in accordance with company procedures,systems and associated administration e.g., Q-Pulse. Liaise with Account Managers, Operations, QC, Workshop, Engineering, Product Line Management and Customers to address and resolve PJR’s, NCR’s and CNCR’s.
Responsible for delivering responses and close-outs within a specified timeframe, by establishing/identifying root causes and corrective actions to attain a high level of customer satisfaction. Disseminate and communicate these to all relevant personnel to mitigate repetition.Attend client meetings, when necessary, to provide technical and operational support.Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the
timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.


QUALIFICATIONS
Will have completed a tertiary education in a technical subject and possess a good level of general education of at least SCE standard grades in Mathematics & English language.
Should have completed a technical qualification in Engineering or similar and/or have a Degree in Engineering or similar Oil & Gas relevant technical subject.
Previous experience which is relevant to onshore support operations.
Will ideally have working product line expertise/knowledge in an open hole discipline, i.e.; Liners, Inflates, Expandables and Casing products.
Will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of rig systems, drilling & production operations and a full understanding of down-hole hydraulics.
Will have excellent computer skills.
Will be able to anticipate internal needs and be a key player in assisting the departments which support/run the operation.
Personal time management skills along with a demonstrated ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources to achieve positive results or solutions.
Able to plan, control and take responsibility for own work and related decisions
